Es sollten die Wirkungen einer Exposition von Honigbienen bei einem 50 Hz-Magnetfeld für unterschiedliche Dauern auf biochemische Veränderungen untersucht werden.

Die Bienen wurden in die folgenden Gruppen (jeweils n=40) eingeteilt: Exposition bei dem Magnetfeld für 1) 2 Stunden, 2) 6 Stunden, 3) 12 Stunden, 4) 24 Stunden und 5) 48 Stunden. Für jede Expositions-Gruppe wurde eine separate Kontrollgruppe verwendet. Nach der Exposition wurden die Bienen für die Untersuchung eingefroren.
