Experimental investigations on both short-term and long-term
exposure to
extremely low-frequency fields in the workplace or in the environment show that they are very unlikely to cause dangerous
cardiovascular effects (
WHO Environmental Health Criteria 238). Likewise,
epidemiological studies gave no
evidence of an association between
extremely low-frequency electric and
magnetic fields and the
incidence of
cardiovascular diseases (
Kheifets, L. et al. 2007).
