Magnetic remedies (blankets, patches, bracelets, etc.)

Nowadays there exist a huge diversity of products with magnets in pillows, blankets, bracelets, patches, belts, pendants, or insoles, promising, according to the manufacturers, help against different health conditions. According to German Federal Office for Radiation Protection these products exhibit static magnetic fields in the range of 0.03 and 0.3 Tesla in close proximity to their surface. However, 3-4 mm away from the surface the levels are reduced to a tenth, i.e. in a distance of several centimeters the magnetic flux density is lower than that of the geomagnetic field (German Federal Office for Radiation Protection), therefore, questioning the efficacy of the claims of these products.
