1. Communications engineering. A range of frequencies in a particular region of the electromagnetic spectrum assigned for transmitting radio, television or mobile phone signals.
2. Neurology. The frequency of EEG waves is devided into 4 groups or frequency bands: delta waves (0.5-3.5 Hz),

theta waves (4-7.5 Hz), alpha waves (8-12 Hz), and

beta waves (over 13 Hz).
