sensing threshold

German: Wahrnehmungsschwelle
Japanese: センシング閾値

Medical engineering. The minimum intracardiac signal amplitude in mV that will be sensed by a cardiac pacemaker. The sensing threshold ranges from 0.5 to 6 mV. If the sensitivity is too low the heart activity is not sensed (undersensing). If the sensitivity is too high for example also muscle activites are sensed and thereby the cardiac pacemaker is inhibited (oversensing).
