Description:

Since 1995, the GSM 1900 standard of the second generation of mobile communication systems is optionally available in the USA as an additional GSM standard. Frequencies from 1930 - 1990 MHz are used for the uplink and frequencies from 1930 - 1990 MHz for the downlink.
GSM 1900 was formerly known as PCS 1900 (Personal Communications System).

Frequency ranges:
  • 1,850–1,910 MHz (uplink in the PCS 1900 frequency band)
  • 1,930–1,990 MHz (downlink in the PCS 1900 frequency band)
