transcriptomics

German: Transkriptomik
Japanese: トランスクリプトミクス

Molecular genetics. The branch of biochemistry concerned with the characterization of the entire mRNA content of a cell or tissue under specific conditions (transcriptome). It involves assessing changes in the transcriptome in correspondence to altered physiological states of the cells and provides a way of looking at gene expression patterns for a better understanding of the interaction of genes and pathways in biological processes.
