Merritt coil system

Electrical engineering. A multi-coil system for the generation of a highly uniform magnetic field developed by R. Merritt in the eighties of the last century. It consists of three or four thin square coils with a certain ratio of side length and separation of the coils and a certain ratio of the current in the inner coil or coil pair and the current in the outer coil pair.
