German: Stroop-Test
Japanese: ストループテスト

Neurophysiology. A test to measure selective attention. The task is to read out words that are the names of colors, although the actual words are printed in a color of ink different from the color name they represent. You can read words faster and more automatically, than you can name colors, e.g., if the word "green" is written in blue you will say the word "green" more readily than you can name the color in which it is written, which in this case is "blue."
