VVIR mode

  • VVIR
German: VVIR-Modus
Japanese: VVIRモード

Medical engineering. In VVIR mode the right ventricle is the location of sensing and pacing. The mode is inhibited, i.e., the pacemaker withholds the ventricular output in the presence of a sensed ventricular event. The stimulation frequency can be adapted to the physical activity (rate responsive).
