capacitive coupling

German: kapazitive Kopplung
Japanese: 容量性結合

Communications engineering. Energy transport through the capacitor which can arise between two adjacent conductors if these are on different potentials. The capacitor is the stronger the closer the conductors are and the higher the frequency is. Communication technology can partly use this effect, for example to filter the DC part from a digital signal. But often this effect is a disturbance.
