body resistance

  • body impedance
German: Körperwiderstand

Physiology. Resistance of the human or animal body. The body resistance comprises the internal body resistance and the skin resistance. It depends on following factors: touch voltage, current type (alternating current, direct current), current path (e.g. hand-hand, left hand-feet, right hand-feet, hand-chest, foot-foot), duration of current flow, frequency, skin condition, contact area with the skin and temperature.
