Study type: Medical/biological study (experimental study)

Glucose consume and growth of E. coli under electromagnetic field med./bio.

Published in: Rev Inst Med Trop Sao Paulo 2003; 45 (2): 65-67

Aim of study (acc. to author)

To investigate the effects of a 5 G/60 Hz electromagnetic field exposure on growth and glucose consumption of the bacteria Escherichia coli.

Background/further details

Cultures of E. coli were MF exposed/sham exposed for 8 hours. Photometrical measurement was made before and after exposure/sham exposure to evaluate bacterial growth. An enzymatic glucose assay was carried out after exposure/sham exposure.
