case-only analysis

  • case-case analysis
German: Case-only-Analyse
Japanese: ケースオンリー分析

Epidemiology. A recently developed study design to evaluate possible interaction between genetic and environmental factors. No controls are used in a case-only analysis but subsets of cases are defined and compared by the feature of interest, for example exposition. Limiting the analysis to cases only eliminates potential selection bias and recall bias.
