Published in: Arh Hig Rada Toksikol 1999; 50 (1): 5-11

Aim of study (acc. to author)

The over-all aim of this pilot study was to investigate the effects of non-ionising, non-thermal radiation on bone marrow, peripheral blood, and bronchoalveolar free cell populations in rats. Only the preliminary results of cell counting of different blood cell types have been given.

Main outcome of study (acc. to author)

The number of leukocytes and lymphocytes in exposed animals were decreasing during the course of experiment compared with controls. The number of granulocytes was increasing in exposed animals during the course of experiment compared with the control animals. The number of erythrocytes was higher in exposed animal during the whole course of experiment compared with control. No exact values and statistical informations were given of any investigated cell types in this part-report of the pilot sudy.
