Published in: Bioelectromagnetics 2005; 26 (2): 153-156

Aim of study (acc. to author)

To investigate possible morphological anomalies in pollen tube of kiwifruit (Actinidia deliciosa) exposed to a 50 Hz magnetic field.

Main outcome of study (acc. to author)

Pollen germination was not statistically affected due to magnetic field exposure. However, the morphology of pollen tube was affected by MF exposure. As a possible explanation the authors assume an effect of the applied magnetic field on endogenous calcium.
