Suppression of natural killer cell activity on Candida stellatoidea by a 50 Hz magnetic field med./bio.

Published in: Electromagn Biol Med 2006; 25 (2): 79-85

Aim of study (acc. to author)

To study natural killer cell activity in splenocytes (splenic cells) of guinea pigs (10 exposed; 9 controls) after exposure to a 50 Hz magnetic field.

Main outcome of study (acc. to author)

Natural killer cell cytotoxic activity was decreased in exposed animals compared to the control group. The data suggests that natural killer cell activity can be suppressed by a 50 Hz magnetic field.
