Effect of 2450 MHz microwave radiation on hematopoiesis of pregnant mice med./bio.

Published in: Radiat Res 1984; 100 (2): 412-417

Aim of study (acc. to author)

To investigate the effects of 2450 MHz microwave radiation on haematopoiesis of pregnant mice.

Background/further details

The animals were exposed during day 1-6 (gastrulation) or 6-15 (embryonic organogenesis) of pregnancy. Sample collection was accomlished on day 18.

Main outcome of study (acc. to author)

For both periodes of exposure no effect on total or differential leukocyte counts were observed. Furthermore no effects in either erythroid or myeloid mitotic indices of bone marow samples were found.
