Study type: Medical/biological study (experimental study)

Cytogenetic effects of 900 MHz (GSM) microwaves on human lymphocytes med./bio.

Published in: Bioelectromagnetics 2001; 22 (2): 91-96

Aim of study (acc. to editor)

To investigate cytogenetic effects of 900 MHz radiofrequency fields on human lymphocytes. Synergisms with the mutagen mitomycin C or X-rays were also investigated.

Main outcome of study (acc. to author)

The investigation was not able to give supporting evidence of a genotoxic effect of 900 MHz microwaves alone or in combination with a chemical or physical mutagen. There was no dose-effect relationship for any of the three modes of radiation.
