No significant effect was found in the responses of the auditory brainstem or the endocrine system, but a slight increase, small but significant, was observed in various areas of the brain, in particular in the alpha wave and beta wave frequency band. The functional significance of this effect remains to be evaluated, as well as any possible health impact.
