Effects of low frequency electromagnetic field on proliferation of human epidermal stem cells: An in vitro study

この研究は、ヒト上皮幹細胞(hESC)の増殖に対する低周波磁界の影響をin vitroで実験した。磁界は、1、10、50 Hz の5 mT、ばく露時間は30 min/日で、それぞれ3、5、7 日間とした。その結果、磁界ばく露はhESCの増殖を周波数依存的に有意に高め、50Hzで最も増殖速度が高かった;磁界ばく露はS期細胞の割合増加(G1期細胞の割合減少とともに)を有意に示したが、周波数依存的ではなかった;CD29+/CD71-の割合に変化はなかった、などの所見を報告している。

No influence of magnetic field-exposure on the cell morphology and on the cell phenotype were detected in any of the groups. In all exposed cell cultures, the cell proliferation was significantly increased compared to the sham exposed cultures, in a frequency dependent manner, with the highest rate in the 50 Hz-group. Magnetic field-exposure led to a significant increase of cells in the S phase and to a significant decrease of cells in the G1 phase. The changes in the cell cycle distibution were not dependent on the frequency.
The data indicate a promoting influence of low frequency magnetic fields on the proliferation of human epidermal stem cells.
