この研究は、雌雄のWistarラット生殖に対する2450MHzのWi-Fi信号ばく露(0.08または4W/kg、1時間/日、6日/週)の影響を調べた。生殖器官の成熟期間中(雄は3週間、雌は2週間、1個体/ケージ)の事前ばく露後に、10週齢になった雌雄のラットを同一ケージに入れ(1組/ケージ)、3週間以上ばく露した。ケージは電波反響箱に入れ、6つのアンテナを用いて全身ばく露させた。全身SAR0.08 W/kg群、4W/kg群、擬似ばく露群(各群、雌雄6匹ずつ)について、分娩前日の胎児を観察し、致死性、先天性異常と臨床的兆候を調べた。その結果、Wi-Fi信号へのばく露による悪影響は認められなかった、と報告している。

To investigate the effects of an exposure to a Wi-Fi signal on the reproductive system of male and female rats.

The male rats were exposed during sexual maturation for 3 weeks before mating, the females for 2 weeks (n=36, respectively). After the mating, couples were exposed for 3 more weeks. One day before the expected delivery, the dams were sacrificed and the fetuses were removed from the uterus and examined. Also, the male rats were sacrificed and their sexual organs were examined.
Three groups were examined: 1.) sham exposure, 2.) exposure to a specific absorption rate of 0.08 W/kg and 3.) exposure to a specific absorption rate of 4 W/kg.
